At the tested 1,920 × 1,080 High preset with upscaling off, Prince of Persia The Lost Crown produces extremely high frame rates on all three measured laptops. Notebookcheck's numbers range from 356fps to 358fps: a spread of only 2fps, with a 356fps median.

That is a remarkably tight result, but the sample is also very small: there are figures for only three laptops, each using a different RTX 50-series GPU. The available numbers show what these particular machines achieved rather than establishing a broad GPU requirement for the game. There are no measurements here for lower-cost gaming GPUs, older RTX parts, integrated graphics, or alternative presets and resolutions.

Within this limited sample, the game looks forgiving at 1080p High. Every laptop is comfortably beyond 60fps, 100fps and 144fps, and none is remotely close to those thresholds. The fastest result, 358fps, is only 2fps ahead of the slowest result, 356fps. That lack of separation means the measured figures do not show a meaningful performance advantage from moving between these three specific GPU configurations in this test.

It would be unwise to conclude that one GPU is inherently faster than another from these results. Each GPU tier has only one measured laptop behind it, while laptop cooling, processor configuration, power limits and other system factors can differ between machines. The figures simply show that the MSI Vector 16 HX AI, MSI Katana 17 HX and Medion Erazer Beast 18 X1 all ran this test at roughly 356–358fps.

The near-identical results also mean there is no useful GPU-tier scaling visible in this dataset. That does not prove what is limiting performance; it only shows that, at these settings, buying one of the more expensive measured machines did not translate into a substantially higher reported frame rate.

What runs it

All three measured GPU configurations clear every performance target listed in the fact sheet at 1,920 × 1,080 on High with upscaling disabled.

For a laptop with a 60Hz display, all three machines have an enormous performance margin in the measured scenario. The same is true for 100Hz and 144Hz panels: every result is more than twice the 144fps target. A 144Hz display would therefore be fully supplied by each of these specific laptops at the tested settings, although the displayed frame rate will naturally be constrained by the panel's refresh rate unless other display behaviour is in use.

There is no measured evidence here to identify the minimum GPU needed for 60fps or 144fps. The slowest result is still 356fps, but it comes from an RTX 5070 laptop rather than a lower-tier model. Treat these figures as confirmation that the three listed machines run the game exceptionally quickly at 1080p High, not as proof that lesser hardware would deliver the same result.

The cheapest laptop that handles it

The least expensive measured option is the MSI Vector 16 HX AI with RTX 5070 Ti, priced at £1,592. It also posted the highest measured result, at 358fps.

On these measured numbers, the Vector is £720 less expensive than the Katana and £907 less expensive than the Medion, while delivering effectively the same performance in this game. Indeed, its 358fps result is marginally higher, though a 2fps difference at this frame-rate level is not a meaningful buying distinction.

This does not make the Vector the cheapest laptop capable of running Prince of Persia The Lost Crown overall. It is only the cheapest among the three laptops in the supplied measurements. There is no data here for cheaper laptops, so no broader minimum-price recommendation can be made responsibly.

What this means if you're buying

If Prince of Persia The Lost Crown at 1080p High is one of your buying considerations, the measured results suggest that spending more within this three-laptop group does not buy a useful improvement in frame rate. All three are far beyond 144fps, and the difference between the lowest and highest result is just 2fps.

The sensible performance-led choice from this limited list is therefore the £1,592 MSI Vector 16 HX AI. It is the lowest-priced measured machine and achieved 358fps under the same test conditions as the more expensive alternatives.

However, keep the narrow evidence base in mind. These are only three 1080p High, no-upscaling results, with one laptop per GPU tier. If you are choosing between laptops for a different resolution, different visual settings, or a different refresh-rate target, these figures cannot tell you how performance will change. What they can say clearly is that these three specific RTX 50-series laptops run the tested configuration with vast headroom.

How these numbers were produced

Frame rates here are not measured by us, and we label how each one was arrived at. A figure marked measured comes from a published run on that exact machine. A figure marked representative is derived from the GPU and its power limit (TGP) and cross-referenced against published reviews - a sound estimate of what that configuration delivers, but not a measurement of that specific laptop. Unless stated otherwise, numbers are 1920x1080, High preset, upscaling off. Where a laptop ships in several power configurations we use the wattage of the exact SKU listed, because a 140W RTX 5070 and a 115W one are not the same product.
