What it asks of a laptop

Notebookcheck’s measured figures for Kingdom Come: Deliverance are encouraging, but the sample is small: there are results from only four laptops, all at 1,920 x 1,080 using the High preset with upscaling disabled. Those machines delivered between 100fps and 119fps, with a median result of 107fps.

On this evidence, the game is not especially punishing for the tested RTX 2070- and RTX 2080-equipped laptops at 1080p High. Every recorded machine exceeded 100fps, and the gap from the slowest result to the fastest is just 19fps. That is a relatively tight spread, although it should not be read as proof that every laptop with these GPUs will perform identically: laptop graphics chips can operate in different power and cooling configurations, and the figures only cover these four specific systems.

The GPU-tier results are also worth reading carefully. The two RTX 2070 laptops averaged 114fps, while the two RTX 2080 laptops averaged 104fps. That does not mean the RTX 2070 is inherently faster for this game. Instead, it shows that within this limited set of laptops, the nominal GPU tier did not determine the final result on its own. The fastest machine was an RTX 2070 laptop, while the two RTX 2080 systems occupied the lower end of the measured range.

For a buyer, the practical conclusion is that a laptop’s overall implementation matters at least as much as the GPU label when comparing systems in this class. The measured numbers support confidence in these particular RTX 2070 and RTX 2080 laptops at 1080p High, but they do not provide enough coverage to make broad claims about lower-end GPUs, newer GPUs, or every laptop using the same graphics hardware.

What runs it

At the tested 1,920 x 1,080 High settings, with upscaling off, all four measured laptops ran the game comfortably above 60fps.

That means 4 of 4 measured laptops cleared 60fps, so each of the recorded RTX 2070 and RTX 2080 machines delivered a substantial margin over a 60fps target at these settings.

They also all cleared 100fps: 4 of 4 laptops reached at least that mark. The Acer Predator Triton 500 was the closest, at exactly 100fps, while the MSI GE66 Raider had the highest result at 119fps. If your aim is a high-refresh experience around 100fps, the measured figures show that these particular machines are capable of it at 1080p High without upscaling.

None of the four reached 144fps, however. The best result, 119fps from the MSI GE66 Raider, was still 25fps short of that threshold. A 144Hz laptop display can still be useful, but the available figures do not show this game sustaining 144fps on any of the tested laptops under these conditions. There is also no basis here for claiming what settings changes would be required to reach that target.

The cheapest laptop that handles it

No laptop prices are included in the supplied fact sheet, so it is not possible to identify the cheapest measured machine honestly.

What can be said is that every named laptop in the data handled the game at 1,920 x 1,080 High with upscaling disabled:

Since neither pricing nor lower-cost laptop results are available, the figures cannot establish a minimum spend for acceptable performance. They demonstrate only that these four systems clear both 60fps and 100fps in the measured test.

What this means if you’re buying

If you are choosing between these specific laptops for Kingdom Come: Deliverance, performance at the measured settings is not a reason to pay extra for the RTX 2080 machine. In this sample, the RTX 2070 laptops were faster: 108fps and 119fps, against 100fps and 107fps for the RTX 2080 systems.

That is not a general buying rule about RTX 2070 versus RTX 2080 laptops. It is a reminder to avoid treating the GPU name as the whole performance story, particularly when the available evidence consists of only two examples per GPU tier. For this game at 1080p High, the four tested systems all offer more than enough measured performance for a 60fps target and all reach 100fps or better.

For a 144fps-focused purchase, the evidence is less conclusive. None of the measured machines reached 144fps with the High preset and upscaling disabled, so buyers specifically targeting that frame rate should not assume it from these results. For 60fps or approximately 100fps play at the tested settings, though, the recorded RTX 2070 and RTX 2080 laptops look well suited to the job.

How these numbers were produced

Frame rates here are not measured by us, and we label how each one was arrived at. A figure marked measured comes from a published run on that exact machine. A figure marked representative is derived from the GPU and its power limit (TGP) and cross-referenced against published reviews - a sound estimate of what that configuration delivers, but not a measurement of that specific laptop. Unless stated otherwise, numbers are 1920x1080, High preset, upscaling off. Where a laptop ships in several power configurations we use the wattage of the exact SKU listed, because a 140W RTX 5070 and a 115W one are not the same product.
